Job Overview
The Mechanical/Electrical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all mechanical, electrical, and system-based scopes of work during yacht refit and construction projects. This includes propulsion, HVAC, AVIT, marine piping, and energy systems. The role ensures technical solutions are properly integrated and align with project timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Align mechanical and electrical engineering activities with stakeholders (architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, Class and Flag, project managers).
- Manage technical documentation and the engineering validation process for systems and machinery.
- Supervise execution of mechanical/electrical installations and verify compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective resolutions.
- Coordinate with subcontractors on technical scopes related to mechanical and electrical work.
- Assist project managers with engineering support during execution phases.
- Ensure internal procedures and HSE standards are adhered to in mechanical/electrical domains.
- Maintain clear records and documentation for mechanical and systems scopes.
Candidate Profile
- Strong background in marine engineering systems (mechanics, electricity, plumbing, HVAC, propulsion).
- Field experience in at least two of the following: mechanics, electricity, marine piping, sustainable propulsion systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with Class and Flag regulations.
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, basic AutoCAD, and Gantt tools.
- Technical rigor and diligence.
- Strong problem-solving mindset.
- Clear communicator across diverse teams.
- Calm under pressure with strong organizational skills.
- The right to work in the EU.
