Job Overview
The Structural Coordinator is responsible for managing and integrating all technical aspects related to the yacht’s structure throughout refit or new-build projects. This includes metal work, painting, carpentry, composites, and compliance with class and flag regulations. The Structural Coordinator acts as a central link between stakeholders to ensure the cohesion, quality, and successful implementation of structural scopes within the project timeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate structural engineering scopes with stakeholders (architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, Class and Flag, project managers).
- Lead the development and approval process of structural drawings and documentation.
- Review and assess technical documents and drawings related to structure, painting, carpentry, and composites.
- Supervise on-site structural work for quality compliance.
- Resolve technical issues in the structural domain, propose corrective actions, and report to management.
- Ensure subcontractor scopes related to structural work are clearly defined and executed correctly.
- Support project managers during execution with technical assistance in structural matters.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and internal company procedures.
- Maintain project documentation for the structural domain.
- Represent the company positively in external relations regarding structural scopes.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in the maritime/yachting industry with a focus on structural work.
- Hands-on experience in at least two structural fields (metal work, painting, carpentry, composites).
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and approval processes (Class and Flag).
- Ability to interpret and assess technical drawings and procedures.
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, basic AutoCAD, and Gantt tools.
- Organized, calm, and methodical.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to manage stress and conflicts effectively.
- The right to work in the EU.
