Job Overview
A leading prestige sailing yacht company is seeking a Technical Aftersales Manager to be based in Palma de Mallorca, one of Europe’s premier yachting hubs. This role is key to ensuring that owners, captains, and crews receive exceptional technical support and service throughout the yacht’s lifecycle, maintaining the high standards expected in the luxury sailing yacht sector. The Technical Aftersales Manager will act as the primary technical liaison for yachts operating in the Mediterranean, ensuring seamless aftersales support, management of warranty lists, and coordination of refit and maintenance planning. The role requires both strong technical expertise and excellent client-facing skills to deliver a premium ownership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage outstanding warranty lists, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Liaise and coordinate with captains and crew, owners’ teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, refit projects, and technical upgrades.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to yacht crews, ensuring systems’ reliability and performance.
- Monitor and manage relationships with local service providers and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed reports and feedback for internal teams to support continuous product improvement.
- Represent the company at yacht shows, regattas, and owner events as a trusted technical ambassador.
Candidate Profile
- Technical degree beneficial but not a prerequisite; strong practical technical skills essential.
- 5–7 years in aftersales, service management, or technical operations within the superyacht or sailing yacht sector.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong knowledge of yacht systems (mechanical, electrical, rigging, and deck equipment).
- Proven project management and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and relationship management abilities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (Spanish, Italian, French) an advantage.
- Client-oriented, proactive, detail-driven, and capable of working independently in a
dynamic international environment.
