Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Rigger. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting rigging equipment, securing loads, directing crane movements, and ensuring all lifting activities are carried out in accordance with safety standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and select appropriate rigging equipment.
- Calculate or verify load weights, load centers, and lifting requirements.
- Conduct pre-lift inspections and participate in lift planning.
- Ensure lifting operations comply with safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, construction, or shutdown activities involving heavy lifts.
Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial, construction, marine, or oil & gas environments.
- Ability to read lifting plans, load charts, and technical drawings.
- Understanding of load calculations, center of gravity, and sling angles.
- Familiarity with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new techniques.
- Positive attitude and pride in craftsmanship.
- Must be legally allowed to work in Spain.
Salary and benefits
- Between 30 and 40K gross annual base salary (depending on experience).
- 70% travel required.
- When travelling: extra per diem.
- Permanent contract.
- Mapfre private Health insurance.
- 23 paid holidays + 1 extra day off on your birthday.
- One month of temporary accommodation if relocation is needed.
