Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Composite Technician to carry out fabrication, repair, and finishing of composite components. The role involves working with carbon fiber, fiberglass, and resin systems to produce high-quality parts in accordance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and strict quality standards. Responsibilities include surface preparation, lay-up, curing processes, trimming, inspection, and repair of composite structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, assemble, and repair composite components using carbon fiber, fiberglass, and resin systems.
- Prepare moulds, tools, and materials for lay-up and production processes.
- Carry out composite lay-up, vacuum bagging, infusion, curing, trimming, and finishing operations.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality and dimensional standards.
- Perform repairs on damaged composite structures following approved procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment in line with HSE requirements.
- Record work activities and report defects or non-conformances.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a Composite Technician or in composite manufacturing/repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Understanding of health and safety practices in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Aerospace, automotive, marine, or wind energy experience is an advantage.
- Must be legally allowed to work in Spain.
Salary and benefits
- Between 40 and 55K gross annual base salary (depending on experience).
- Some travel required.
- When travelling: extra per diem.
- Permanent contract.
- Mapfre private Health insurance.
- 23 paid holidays + 1 extra day off on your birthday.
- One month of temporary accommodation if relocation is needed.
