Job Overview
The Client is looking for an experienced Director of Operations to lead the company’s next stage of growth, overseeing multiple superyacht rigging and load-testing projects while developing teams, improving processes and ensuring safe, high-quality delivery. The role combines senior management with a hands-on, client-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple superyacht rigging and load-testing projects from planning to completion.
- Manage resources, budgets, P&L, forecasting and cost control.
- Lead, support and develop team leaders, technicians and operational teams.
- Coordinate labour, equipment, subcontractors, logistics and project priorities.
- Ensure high standards of technical quality, safety, compliance and documentation.
- Manage relationships with captains, shipyards, management companies, clients and suppliers.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and drive process and efficiency improvements.
- Support business growth, capacity planning and operational strategy.
Candidate Profile
- Strong superyacht industry experience and understanding of yacht refit/service environments.
- Knowledge of modern rigging systems, including rod and composite rigging.
- Proven experience managing multiple teams and concurrent projects.
- Strong budget and P&L management experience.
- Excellent leadership, planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
- Process-driven approach with a strong focus on safety, quality and technical compliance.
- Strong computer literacy and CAD capability; Rhino experience desirable.
- Legal right to work in the EU.
- Willingness to travel.
- Previous onboard superyacht experience and senior rigging/operations experience desirable.
- Spanish language and an established superyacht network desirable.
