Job Overview
We are seeking an Exterior Outfitting Engineering Coordinator to join the project team for Project P250 , a 64m wooden sailing yacht undergoing a major re-build.
The role will focus on coordinating all exterior outfitting engineering packages , ensuring design intent, engineering integration, and practical execution are aligned with the project’s overall technical roadmap. The Coordinator will act as the link between the Owner’s team, our Structural Engineering Coordinator, design partners, subcontractors, and the broader project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all exterior outfitting scope, including deck equipment, hull and rig repainting, rig interface areas, doors, hatches, windows, railings, hot tub, custom davits, exterior lighting, and other outfitting elements.
- Liaise with the Owner’s team, exterior equipment suppliers (eg, underwater pods), and engineering partners (Marimecs, RH Marine, Hopman Sails, etc.) to ensure accurate integration of exterior systems.
- Review and consolidate engineering drawings, technical documents, and subcontractor deliverables, highlighting discrepancies and driving resolution.
- Manage interfaces between exterior outfitting and adjacent disciplines (interior, systems, aluminum deckhouse structures).
- Support procurement by preparing technical input, evaluating vendor proposals, and verifying compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor the progress of detailed engineering and production, ensuring alignment with project milestones and budget.
- Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning of outfitting elements.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience (5+ years) in exterior outfitting coordination within the superyacht or high-end marine sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of exterior outfitting systems and integration.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to align multiple stakeholders.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
- Availability to be based in La Ciotat for the duration of the project.
- The right to work in the EU.
