The Client is a fast-growing international e-commerce and distribution company specialising in high-performance sailing systems. Based in Kiel, Germany, the Client serves customers worldwide and are entering a phase of rapid scale, with strong growth in both order volume and operational complexity.

Job Overview

We are hiring a key strategic leader to take full ownership of our Fulfilment function and build a scalable, technology-driven operation. This full-time role covers the entire order lifecycle—from purchasing and supplier management to delivery and after-sales.

You will lead and grow the team over time, stepping into a leadership role as the function expands. This is a hands-on, business-critical position requiring strong ownership of a core pillar of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate, timely processing of all sales orders.
  • Handle returns and post-delivery issues.
  • Manage all outbound customer communication.
  • Manage complex day-to-day purchasing strategy to minimise cost.
  • Maintain strong professional supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead times.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Handle export processes and customs documentation.
  • Work extensively within our ERP system (Odoo).
  • Continue developing and improving automated workflows.
  • Collaborate with management on operational optimisation.
  • Maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy.
Candidate Profile
  • Native German speaker.
  • Fluent English (minimum C1 level).
  • Proven experience in fulfilment, operations, supply chain, or logistics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience managing supplier and customer relationships.
  • Comfortable handling high order volumes with precision.
  • Strong systems proficiency (ERP experience highly desirable).
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with Odoo (or similar ERP systems).
  • Additional language skills (French or others).
  • E-commerce or distribution experience.
  • Experience in export documentation & international shipping.
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members.
  • Sailing knowledge or affinity with performance marine products.
