Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to take ownership of a flagship 35m sailing catamaran build. Based at our Gdańsk shipyard, this role will serve as the critical link between the design and technical team (primarily based in the UAE), our production teams in Poland, and external suppliers and contractors. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused position suited to someone who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and knows how to drive projects across departments and borders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire project lifecycle from contract signature to final handover, ensuring alignment across technical, production, and commercial departments.
- Act as the bridge between the design team (UAE), the production site (Gdańsk), and the client-side stakeholders – managing communication, expectations, and execution at every level.
- Develop and monitor detailed build schedules, manage critical paths, and ensure milestones are hit on time and on budget.
- Oversee external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality control, and contractual compliance.
- Work closely with DNV and other regulatory bodies to ensure classification and compliance requirements are integrated into all stages of the build.
- Represent the company with professionalism and clarity in client meetings, reporting, and during build visits, ensuring transparent and proactive communication.
- Identify risks and resolve issues before they escalate, maintaining project momentum without compromising on quality or safety.
- Lead the final preparation, testing, and delivery process, ensuring a smooth transition to the owner’s team.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record in project management within the yacht building industry – experience with multihulls or high-performance sailing vessels highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes, marine systems, and luxury yacht fit-out standards.
- Experience working with international teams and managing stakeholder expectations across time zones.
- Familiarity with DNV or other classification society standards.
- Fluent English required; Polish and/or French advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Willing and able to work full-time on-site in Gdańsk (relocation support may be offered).
