Job Responsibilities
  • Meets the needs of planning, organization, coordination, control and management of the production site and team leaders
  • Responsible for the set-up and implementation of the technological process and the required specific training of staff
  • Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Apply methods for planning and forecasting the production process
  • Use modern technical means and software products, supporting the activity
  • Calculate production costs
  • Improve production efficiency
  • Keep up to date with new composite products on the market
  • Plan and secure resources (HR, materials, equipment)
  • Communicate effectively with all departments
  • Manage roughly 50+ people
  • Reports to the general manager
Candidate Profile
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant production manager discipline
  • Fluent in English
  • 10+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • 8+ years working with composites and knowledge of common chemicals used within the coatings application/wet lamination/infusion/vacuum bagging/fairing processes, Mould and Plug production
  • Ability to work from plans, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Extensive experience in boatbuilding
  • Marine interior manufacture and fit-out experience

Primary Tasks
  • Oversee all aspects of production and standard operating   procedures
  • Inspect production/department work to verify adherence to specifications    and directs any adjustments as needed
  • Allocate peoplepower, equipment, and materials effectively to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production operations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop production schedules, budget estimates, and project plans.
  • Monitor and optimize production processes to ensure efficient utilization of resources, minimize downtime, and meet project deadlines.
  • Upskilling current staff
  • Report on Production activities on a regular basis to the Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant KPIs
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment for production projects.
  • Set deadlines to meet delivery schedule and monitor communication with clients
  • Scheduling workload
  • Assuring correct materials is given to boatbuilders to comply with project budget
  • Report any issues which will hinder or change production scheduling to management
  • Set production objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance
  • Develop planning and prioritize processes to ensure delivery of projects
  • Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles
  • Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, engineering and quality standards and procedures are adhered to
  • Plan and ensure the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment

 

HSE Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce company safety regulations and quality control standards to ensure a safe working environment and deliver high-quality products.
  • Refrain from alcohol consumption or any other intoxicating substances during work hour
  • Comply with the established warnings, obligatory, prohibiting and guidance signs and signals for Occupational Safety and fire protection
  • Attend training and instruction on occupational health and safety, fire safety
  • Attend mandatory periodic medical examinations on a schedule determined by the employer

 

 

 

Salary and Benefits
