Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of complex sailing systems and deck hardware. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ project management experience, preferably within the marine industry or a related technical field. A solid understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes is essential, along with familiarity with performance yacht equipment and rigging. Proficiency in CAD and experience contributing to new product development are highly advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are vital, as the role involves close collaboration with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the onboarding of new projects, working with the sales team to gather relevant information, documentation, and define project scope.
  • Create and manage project documentation, including schedules, budgets, change orders, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor project progress, maintain internal systems, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage project correspondence, ensuring clear and timely communication across all parties.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Track orders throughout the production process, identifying and escalating any risks or delays.
  • Coordinate logistics for delivery and installation, liaising with shipping companies and onsite teams as required.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of deliveries and installations, ensuring all documentation is current and complete. 
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients on all project-related matters.
  • Provide regular updates and respond promptly to client queries.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare professional client reports and presentations.
  • Identify and propose improvements to project management practices.
  • Support the implementation of new tools and systems to improve project efficiency.
Candidate Profile
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, preferably within the marine industry or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with yacht rigging and deck hardware is highly desirable.
  • Competent in CAD, with the ability to contribute to the development of new product ranges.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound decision-making under pressure.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • PMQ, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is advantageous but not essential.
  • A passion for sailing or a strong understanding of performance sailing yachts is highly valued.
Salary and benefits

£32,000 – £38,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
