Job Overview
We’re looking for a Design Project Manager for the engineering division of a powerboat production company building composite yachts. Our client is looking towards expanding into larger size boats in the near future and needs someone who’s not only technically adept but also passionate about the marine and yachting industry.
As a young fast moving company, with a strong focus on collaboration, communication is key.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate the efforts of our internal engineering team to deliver precise production drawings.
• Liaise with external systems engineers and naval architects to integrate designs for both current and future vessels.
• Provide hands-on mentorship and guidance to ensure flawless execution of tasks.
• Recruit, onboard, and train engineering talent to maintain a dynamic and skilled workforce.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure that design concepts align with project parameters and feasibility.
• Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and milestones for seamless project delivery.
• Facilitate design discussions and integrate innovative perspectives to align yacht designs with the company brand and client specifications.
• Offer technical expertise to tackle intricate challenges associated with yacht construction, materials, and systems.
• Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on project advancements, fostering transparent communication.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and materials within the yachting industry.
• Identify potential risks and obstacles impacting project metrics and product quality, and devise effective contingency plans.
Candidate Profile
• Proficiency in technical English to facilitate clear communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or a related field.
• Willingness to reside/relocate to Varna, Bulgaria.
• Genuine enthusiasm for the marine and yachting industry.
• Great leadership and communication skills
