Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Head of Procurement, Logistics, and Safety to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines procurement, warehouse, and logistics management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, preferably in the super yachts industry. This role is set in a dynamic shipyard/project environment and offers the opportunity to develop and grow within the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement, logistics, and safety strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Analyze market trends for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Oversee procurement activities including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Ensure regulatory and policy compliance throughout procurement processes.
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance and relationships.
  • Coordinate all logistics functions: transportation, warehousing, distribution.
  • Oversee inventory and stock control systems to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Implement tools and KPIs to monitor efficiency and delivery performance.
  • Supervise warehouse operations and ensure efficient storage and dispatch.
  • Oversee incoming inspections, quality control, and stock accuracy.
  • Minimize waste and optimize warehouse space utilization.
  • Define and enforce robust safety policies and procedures.
  • Lead safety training and awareness campaigns across departments.
  • Conduct audits, manage risk mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Lead and mentor procurement and logistics teams, including junior officers.
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to align procurement with project needs.
  • Support timely project execution by managing resource planning and logistics scheduling.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Report on procurement KPIs and safety metrics.
  • Identify areas for cost optimization without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance efficiency.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean principles and digital tools.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years in procurement/logistics, preferably in the super yachts industry.
  • Proven expertise in supply chain optimization and contract management.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Hands on, team-oriented and proactive leadership, data-driven decision-making, and strong negotiation acumen.
  • Financial budgeting and team management.
  • Deep understanding of maritime/shipbuilding procurement standards.
