Job Overview
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer – Electrical Systems to play a pivotal role within our Engineering Department. The role of Lead Engineer – Electrical Systems is critical to our success in the field of Explorer Yachts new build and conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- You’ll oversee the design and coordination of electrical systems for our explorer yacht projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- You’ll lead the development of a comprehensive engineering package, manage information efficiently, and coordinate with vendors.
- Your role includes quality assurance, project scheduling, collaboration with stakeholders, and staying informed about market developments.
- You’ll ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and contribute to staff development.
Candidate Profile
- A relevant technical education at HBO level, with a preference for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
- More than 5 years of proven experience in a senior engineering role, focusing on electrical systems in explorer yachts or other large vessels.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Extensive knowledge of marine electrical engineering systems.
- Advanced software knowledge, including proficiency in AutoCAD, CADmatic, Windows, and Microsoft 365.
