Job Overview
We are looking for 2 traditional wooden shipwrights for a 6-month project in Germany restoring a classic yacht using traditional techniques. Immediate start (early-mid March). Pay €30/hour, 45–55 hours per week, with accommodation and travel provided. Ideal for shipwrights passionate about traditional wooden boatbuilding.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out restoration work on a classic yacht using traditional shipwright techniques.
- Read and interpret boat plans and restoration specifications.
- Maintain tools and ensure safe working practices in the shipyard.
Candidate Profile
- Hands-on experience with wooden vessel restoration.
- Strong marine carpentry skills in a shipyard environment.
- Knowledge of traditional hull construction.
- Skilled use of hand tools and power tools used in boatbuilding.
- Ability to read boat plans.
- Ability to work with large timbers.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong craftsmanship and precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have EU rights to work.
