The Client

Our Client is a leading company that specializes in providing premium refit and maintenance services for yachts and superyachts. They take pride in delivering top-notch solutions to yacht owners, ensuring their vessels are maintained to the highest standards, and offering exceptional customer experiences.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join their team and take a significant role in expanding their business in the yacht market, specifically targeting yachts (motor and sailing) ranging from 25 to 45 meters in length.

The shipyard has plans in place to develop the current capabilities over the next 2 years to become one of the major Refit yards in the Mediterranean. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to grow with the role as the yard expands it capabilities.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join the team and take a significant role in expanding their business in the yacht market, specifically targeting yachts (motor and sailing) ranging from 25 to 45 meters in length.

Key Responsibilities
  •  Sales and Business Development: Help the Management Team to develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive business growth and expand the client base in the marine industry. Proactively identify and approach potential clients, build strong relationships, and promote the client´s refit and maintenance services to yacht owners and stakeholders within the target market.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand their needs, preferences, and requirements to offer tailored solutions that align with the Clients services.
  • Product and Service Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of yacht refit and repair services, as well as the technical aspects of yacht maintenance, to effectively communicate and address client inquiries
    and concerns.
  •  Customer Consultation: Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their yacht refit and repair
    needs, presenting them with suitable solutions, quotes, and proposals.
  • Proposal Preparation: Collaborate with the technical team to prepare detailed and accurate project proposals,
    outlining timelines, cost estimates, and service deliverables.
  • Negotiations: Skilfully negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure profitable contracts, ensuring
    mutual satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
  •  Market Research: Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Events and Networking: Represent Client at industry events, trade shows, and networking gatherings to
    promote the company’s brand and services.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, prepare regular reports on sales performance, and present findings to management.
  • Travel: Regular travel may also be required to visit clients and spend time in the shipyard working with the
    team and supporting clients through their time with the client.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar operations management role within the boat-building industry.
  • Familiarity with the organization and processes of a similarly sized manufacturing facility.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and develop cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with different departments, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary and benefits
